All services are flat rates and self-pay using cash, check, or credit card. I strive to keep rates affordable to increase access to quality services, especially for couples and families. A credit card is required for the full amount to hold your time slot in addition to a 3.5% non refundable credit card processing fee. Reach out for other payment options.

Consultations (clients & professionals), home-based, couple intensives, and other services are available upon request. Groups are based on interest. I do not bill insurance for the reasons below. If requested, I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance.

• Billing lessens your confidentiality and privacy and can come up for some employment background checks.
• Insurance companies typically require a diagnosis which may or may not be covered for family and couple services.
• Insurance companies can dictate which services or approaches are reimbursable even when something else may be more effective for you. 
• I prefer to put relationships and wellness over profits (yes, I really mean that!).

 

Good Faith Investment

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” or GFE explaining how much your counseling will cost effective January 1, 2022 in accordance with the “No Surprises” legislation.

​

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill before those services are provided.

​

• You have the right to receive a GFE for the total expected cost of mental healthcare items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. 

• If you schedule at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your provider or facility provides a GFE in writing no later than one business day after the date of scheduling.

• If you schedule at least 10 business days before the appointment date, make sure your provider or facility provides a GFE no later than 3 business days after scheduling.

• You can also ask Relationships Matter LLC for a GFE before or without scheduling. Make sure you get a GFE in writing within three business days after your request. If you do not schedule, a new GFE must be provided with above timelines.

• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any service indicated in the GFE, you can dispute the bill.

• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.

 

Counseling is a bit different that we can’t necessarily provide and estimate of how long treatment takes to fully address a relationship, emotional, behavioral, and other concerns. There are too many possibilities, some which may only emerge during counseling, to quantify what each couple, family, or individual needs over time.

Below are projected costs based on weekly sessions  for 12 months, which might be less or more than what you actually have. . Relationships Matter does not bill insurance.

• Individual Counseling, 90834, in which each session is contracted with a single consenting adults, occurs for 50 minutes, and is initially conducted weekly. At $100/hours for 36-50 weeks, the estimate is $3600

​

• Couple/Relationship Counseling, 90847, in which each session is contracted with consenting adults (2+), occurs for 70 minutes and is initially conducted weekly. At $150/hour for 36-50 weeks, the estimate is $5400.

​

• Discernment Counseling, in which each session is contracted with consenting adults (1+), occurs for 70 minutes for a maximum of 1- 5 sessions at $150 the estimate is $150-$750

• Premarital, in which each package is contracted with 2+ consenting adults, occurs for 70 minutes for a maximum of 4 visits typically conducted weekly. This package is estimated at $450

​

• Group Counseling, 90853, but not multi family group in which each session is contracted with a single consenting adult for 6-8 weeks of 50-60 minute groups. At $20/person for 6 weeks the estimate is $120

• Supervision, such as Board Approved Supervision. At $60/supervision for 100 hours. The estimate is $6000
