For Mental Health Professionals

Peer Group Supervision Training

Cost: $150

CE: 10 (2/week; 1 ethics, 1 supervision). Approved through Louisiana Counseling Association.

This trianing is for mental health professionals. Through peer group supervision and consultation we will explore the ins and outs of ethical, cultural, and clinical decision making for practice issues that matter to you. So many times, supervision ends with a list of what the clinician should do. This process will help stretch participants to intentionally craft questions that will help them excel as clinicians. This training will help you to conceptualize with clarity, challenge feedback and biases, and navigate ethical issues through peer support. It is appropriate for clinicians in school, community, and private practice settings. This is a hands-on structured learning experience.

Clinicians have a chance to experience a dual learning process of peer supervision/consultation with others professionals. This workshop is limited to 6-9 clinicians to provide a close knit community for clinically minded individuals.  Participants will have the opportunity to take on various roles including moderator, consultant, and case presenter. Following the completion of the workshop, participants may choose to implement peer group supervision in their practice. I am happy to customize a training (i.e. couples work, supervision) for at least 6 participants.

Objectives:

1.Participants with learn stages and processes for peer consultation

2.Participants will discuss case presentations

3.Participants will apply peer consultation model to address a variety of practice issues
